Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to the success of the National Conference! Volunteers serve in a variety of areas, including childcare, ushering, registration and workshop facilitation. Volunteers are expected to serve at least 10 hours throughout the course of the conference week.

Priority will be given to volunteers who possess needed skills for specific areas of service:
  Camera Operators will join the production team and should have experience with professional video camera operation.
  Childcare needs volunteers with current background checks and experience working with kids.
  Greeters are needed to help welcome and guide attendees as they arrive and move to various activities throughout the conference.
  Info Table volunteers should have local Memphian knowledge and be available to help answer conference schedule questions.
  Prayer volunteers will join our local host team in facilitating time of prayer and guided prayer throughout the conference.
  Production team will help with the load-in and load-out of all production gear. This team will be physically demanding and should be joined by individuals who can help lift and carry heavy staging and other gear.
  Registration volunteers should be welcoming, work calmly under pressure, and have the ability to work rapidly and efficiently. Preference will be given to those who have served in this role before.
  Transportation volunteers will join a local team in helping transport staff, speakers and attendees.
  Translators are needed who are fluent in Spanish, ASL and various other languages.
  Ushers will help with a variety of tasks inside of the main ballroom –– offering, pamphlet drops, room sets and helping guide attendees.
  Workshop volunteers should be comfortable making presenter introductions, are tech savvy and able to help with workshop set-up.

Volunteer

Volunteer at the conference and save money on your registration fee, too. Volunteers are vital to the success of the conference. They serve in a variety of areas including childcare, ushering, registration, hospitality and workshop facilitation. Volunteers are expected to serve at least 10 hours immediately before, during or following the conference.

Priority will be given to volunteers who possess needed skills for specific areas of service:

Childcare needs volunteers with current background checks and experience caring for kids

Registration needs volunteers who work calmly and quickly under pressure and who are able to retain a lot of information in a short amount of time; accuracy is key in this role; preference will be given to volunteers who have served in CCDA’s registration before

Workshops need volunteers who are comfortable making introductions to a room of their peers; separately, tech-savvy individuals are needed to augment the Audio-Visual staff (helping presenters with PowerPoint and tech setup)
