Puentes: Rooting the Leadership of Bilingual, Bi-cultural Millennials

$5.00

2018 CCDA National Conference — Chicago Workshop

Puentes: Rooting the Leadership of Bilingual, Bi-cultural Millennials — Sandra Ovalle, Robert Chao Romero, & Vanessa Martinez

Puentes is a space to explore meaningful roles bilingual, bi-cultural millennials can play in diverse partnerships by leveraging their ability to live between worlds and belong in both. Puentes (bridge people) tend to be hospitable, making space at the table for those who lack access, ensuring that all voices and experiences are heard. Matthew/Mateo 25 has been relying on Puentes to create just partnerships between immigrant and non-immigrant churches as they walk with immigrant families facing deportation. Using the M25 model, the workshop will unpack tools and insights on how to best collaborate with and support Puentes.
