Blessed are the peacemakers! Yet our contemporary social context is a tribalistic miasma of bridge-burning. Peace-making, however, does not require us to turn away from the full force of harm. Ohioan Lynette Grace was stabbed in the face, chest, and leg by a 16-year-old who had just murdered his mother. 20 years later, Lynette forgave this man, believing that forgiveness sets us free.
