Trauma & Its Roots in Inner City Communities — Yolanda Fields
How do we, as practitioners, become trained in trauma-informed care (TIC) so that we serve our communities with dignity and respect? Participants will learn TIC in the context of community programming, exploring the intersection of violence and trauma, and learning about a practical example of TIC in a homeless service environment. Learn more about how building on the strengths of the community can impact the resilience of individuals’ experiences.
