Serving the Vulnerable Among Us: Models for Working with Latino Communities

$5.00

2019 CCDA National Conference — Dallas Workshop

Serving the Vulnerable Among Us: Models for Working with Latino Communities — Lisa Treviño Cummins, John Lewis, Cristina Diaz-Hernandez

This workshop will use real examples to explore effective models and strategic approaches for working with Latino populations on four primary areas: family strengthening (healthy marriage and responsible fatherhood), early childhood development, youth development (teenage pregnancy prevention and foster care), and serving immigrant children and their families. A peer learning environment will be created where participants will have the opportunity to share, learn from one another, and form implementation ideas. By learning about practical approaches that have worked with Latino populations in urban areas, participants will discover models that can be used and adapted to their own contexts.
