On Chicago’s Southwest Side there has been a movement of street outreach, gang intervention, and mentoring happening for the last 20 years. Benny Estrada and Jorge Roque, have been on a quest for peace and reconciliation through long-term relationships, sports-based youth development, and mentoring. Come and learn about the Urban Life Skills Program and gain practical insights about developing relationships with gang members, building a culture of peace and reconciliation, and walking life on life with youth caught up in gangs and the justice system. Build community with other outreach workers, share struggles, and join the quest for peace.
