Description
Participants will learn the stories of two Asian American woman pastors who broke away from the typical immigrant church model to reach the marginalized and mobilize unlikely leaders to shine in their own neighborhood and beyond. Specific examples of house churches planting in the Tenderloin & SOMA districts of San Francisco, Bay Area & beyond will be shared. Speakers will share about breaking the racial and class divide: instead of only embracing the upwardly mobile American dreams of prosperity, safety & comfort in suburbs, Asian Americans may choose to follow the footsteps of our incarnated Jesus to love the urban marginalized.
