Building Communities Through Story — Kellyn Lovell & Gigi Hahl
The word courage comes from the Latin word, ‘cur’, meaning heart, and when the word first came into the English language, the translation literally meant “to tell your story with your whole heart”. We believe that if we as individuals and as organizations courageously tell our personal and collective stories, our cities and communities can change. By articulating a philosophy of storytelling and introducing a relevant organizational storytelling model, the presenters will demonstrate the power of stories to build community and help solve our most pressing justice issues.
