Description
The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with a theological and practical framework for practitioners regarding how to use sports as a means of leadership development within their local community context. Participants will engage Biblical meanings of leadership, leadership development, and how to cultivate leadership quality best within their sphere of influence whether it be youth participants or adult leaders. Additionally, participants will examine educational data and statistics on truama which justifies the need for youth leadership development. Participants will learn of various programming methods which have effectively developed qualities within youth and adults that have equipped them to engage their communities effectively.
Jeff Biddle is a pastor and nonprofit director who is passionate about helping youth find their voice regarding advocacy, community development, and entrepreneurship. Jeff seeks to use the intersectionality between faith, sports, and education to reach his city’s young people.
