Coaching Circle Description
CCDA is excited to announce the Women of Color Executive Coaching Circle designed to support executive leadership development and flourishing within Christian Community Development spaces. The Executive Coaching Circle is four sessions and provides a safe space for facilitated learning around specific topics. Women of Color in executive leadership roles are invited to join this opportunity.
We require a minimum of 10 participants to make this Circle happen.
2023 Schedule
Circle 1 – 3-5pm CST – The Danger of the Single Story
What’s the story you tell about yourself and our communities? In this session, we’ll discuss the power of our narratives, the narratives of others and what we believe about the communities we serve. Required preparation prior to this session.
Circle 2 – 3-5pm CST – Stop Telling Women They Have Imposter Syndrome
Many women question and even doubt themselves in their professional and personal lives. We’ve adopted a mantra of being imposters but could it be that it isn’t us but the systems and structures in place that rob us of the ability to show up in our totality? In this session, we’ll discuss imposter syndrome, the barriers we face, and how to deal with our inner critic. Required preparation prior to this session.
Circle 3 – 3-5pm CST – Intersectionality and Leadership
According to the article, Why I Advocate for Intersectional Leadership, “…intersectional leadership is both anti-racist and anti-sexist, while also acknowledging the “multiple influences of marginalization centering race and gender, and across planes of identity.” We’ll discuss intersectionality, our role as leaders to understand the complexities of our own identities and what this means for our leadership and changing systems that are often oblivious to the needed change. Required preparation prior to this session.
Circle 4 – 3-5pm CST – Building a Network that Lasts: The Role of Social Capital for Our Success
Our networks can play a role in determining our net worth. Understanding the power of our social capital for not only ourselves but our communities is imperative. We’ll discuss social capital and other forms of currency in which we need to engage. Required preparation prior to this session.
More detail will be provided regarding pre-session preparation upon registration.
