Our American culture values productivity and the bottom line. Our Christian culture adds to these values the importance of ministry and helping those in need. With all these influences pushing in on us it can be difficult to step back and allow rest to reset our life rhythms.

This mirco course focuses on the importance of Sabbath keeping, and highlights the liberation that comes from regular rest.

Senior Pastor Laura Truax has been on the pastoral staff at LaSalle Street Church since 2000; she became senior pastor in 2004. Rev. Truax has a Master’s of Arts in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in Spirituality and a Master’s of Divinity from Loyola University. Rev. Truax is a teaching pastor at the University of Chicago and often speaks around the country on the topics of faith and justice. Her vision is building communities of disciples who are authentic, relevant and passionate about following Jesus.
