Our Mission Statement is "To know Christ and make Him known".
Develop relationships with youth in the Black Rock/Riverside community, creating regular connection points for outreach, integrating them in the already existing ministries on campus (NorthGate youth events, the art studio, job training programs, NorthGate church ministries, clothing pantry, food pantry, wood-shop, etc.), helping the elaboration of processes that promote discipleship through relationships between youth and mature Jesus followers.
Specifics:
1. Work under the leadership of the Northgate Campus Pastor.
2. Attend weekly NorthGate staff meetings.
3. Attend a monthly meeting with the EKO team (a group of leaders that practices CCD).
4. Initiate and nurture good relationships with potential local community Youth Pastors in order to build partnerships.
5. Coach Ministry leaders to integrate and disciple youth, helping them elaborate effective processes and practices.
6. Help to set a culture that values youth.
7. Identify, recruit, train, monitor and supervise leaders and volunteers to effectively:
a. Establish meaningful relationships with the youth by living in the community.
b. Promote relational ministry between Jesus followers and youth.
c. Implement quality activities and discipleship opportunities for the kids in the community.
d. Ensure a safe socio-emotional environment throughout any activity.
e. Plan and implement an holistic approach to discipleship which includes but is not limited to:
Developing small group bible studies with youth.
Offer mentorship.
Plan and organize service opportunities for youth in their community.
Plan, organize and communicate Family Fellowship nights to all youth and families.
