Description
Healthy communities provide diverse housing opportunities so that neighbors, regardless of income, can not only have a roof over their heads, but connect with others. What are the ways that your organization or church can effectively contribute to housing justice? This session will dive into the development processes involved in 3 different types of affordable housing:
1. Single family home ownership;
2. “Missing middle” rental housing
3. Large multi-family developments
The presenters will provide an introduction to the development process, explain the funding mechanisms for affordable housing, and share their real life experiences partnering with churches to restore homes in their community for low-income families.
