Description
This workshop equips practitioners to embed mutual aid as a sustained practice within Christian Community Development. Drawing from the Free People’s Collective curriculum and a live neighborhood-based pilot in Durham, the presenters will explore how mutual aid moves beyond charity toward solidarity, collective care, and power-with relationships. Participants will engage practical tools for mapping gifts and needs, structuring small mutual aid circles, and cultivating rhythms that prevent burnout while strengthening accountability. The session emphasizes theological grounding, embodied practice, and immediate application for congregations, neighborhoods, and organizing contexts.
