Description
Come learn how the story of Bear Creek Christian Church’s foray into affordable housing and the launch of a stand-alone 501c-3, Bear Creek Development Center, Inc., has impacted their community. The focus will be on the acquisition and rehab of a former Bible College into an affordable housing campus with non-profit spaces. The church’s early work of rehabilitating mobile homes with area residents will also be touched on. Lessons learned in the process and challenges that arose will make for some very applicable, practical takeaways.
