Description
The earliest example of reparations took place in Egypt when God’s people, who were subjected to 400 years of slavery, plundered the Egyptians before they left. From this example and many more, this workshop will illustrate the importance of reparations from a biblical justice and contemporary point of view. Nothing can ever compensate African Americans for what was lost over the last 500 years of oppression, but this country can start moving in the right direction by providing African Americans reparations. A deep dive into history, philosophy, theology, and practice will be included in this workshop.
