Description
Christian Community Development calls us into demanding work of justice, reconciliation, and faithful presence in our communities. Yet many practitioners struggle to remain spiritually grounded amid the weight of this work. This interactive lab introduces centering prayer as a simple contemplative Christian practice that cultivates attentiveness to God’s presence and supports sustainable engagement in justice work. Participants will learn the basic method of centering prayer, practice it together through guided silence, and reflect on how contemplative prayer can nurture resilience, discernment, and non-anxious leadership. Participants will leave having experienced the practice directly and gained practical tools for integrating contemplative prayer into their rhythms of life and ministry.
