From Spiritual Bypassing to Entering Into Each Other’s Pain

This workshop seeks to define spiritual bypassing, identify how it’s operated in our lives and ministries, unpack how it has negatively impacted mental health and spiritual health, individually and communally, and explore new ways of being with each other during times of emotional pain.

Mental Health Expert, Dr. Peace Amadi, PsyD helps people heal so they can better lead. She’s a Professor of Psychology at Hope International University. She’s the Founder of Influencing Well – a wellness community that helps leaders and entrepreneurs master the mental and emotional aspects of a successful business and life. She’s the Author of Why Do I Feel Like This? Understand Your Difficult Emotions and Find Grace to Move Through (May 2021) with Intervarsity Press. And she’s a Host— her most recent work as a co-host on The Blend – a medical talk show co-hosted by four doctors. Additionally, Dr. Peace has delivered a TEDx talk about social media and mental health; been invited to speak at UCLA, Yale, Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount University, among other universities; and has been featured in FOX, Women’s Health, Essence, Blavity, numerous podcasts, and top influencer blogs.
