Categories: 2022 Conference, Free For Members
  • Description

Description

The workshop provides insights on how to economically empower poor households in informal settlement especially those with little or no access to formal financial services. Using innovative solidarity economy structure and practices, it has been found that millions of poor people could be lifted out of poverty through developing and attracting businesses in under-resourced communities. The workshop will discuss tested and proven practices that are built on trust, social capital, and community. Some tools will be provided that could be helpful to anyone interested to help people who want to start micro-enterprises.
