Executing Grace How the Death Penalty Killed Jesus & Why It’s Killing Us

$5.00

2019 CCDA National Conference — Dallas Workshop

Executing Grace How the Death Penalty Killed Jesus & Why It’s Killing Us — Shane Claiborne, Derrick Jamison, & SueZann Bosler

Should we kill those who kill to show that it’s wrong to kill? Is anyone beyond redemption? What does it look like when grace gets the last word? This workshop explores the contrast between punitive and restorative justice, looking specifically at how faith and Scripture shape our concept of justice. Shane tells stories of horrific pain and heroic grace. He recounts interviews with victims of violent crimes, survivors of death row, and even an executioner. Shane will be joined by two heroes in the movement for alternatives to the death penalty, Derrick Jamison (a survivor of death row) and SueZann Bosler (a murder victim family member).
