Deconstructing the Story of “White”

$5.00

2019 CCDA National Conference — Dallas Workshop

Deconstructing the Story of “White” — Diane Miller & Charles Cheek

This workshop shares the history of how race came to be such a divisive tool of distinguishing “us” and “them” within the United States. This binary system created wealth for whites, while building our capitalist economy through the oppression and enslavement of blacks. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the implications of race on the United States’ legacy. We truly believe that this oppressive system can be dismantled if all citizens better understand how it was conceived and built.
