Description
Food insecurity is not simply a lack of food — it is the result of layered barriers that prevent individuals and families from accessing the nourishment, dignity, and stability they deserve. As Christian Community Development practitioners, we are called to confront these barriers with compassion, creativity, and justice‑centered solutions that honor the lived experiences of our neighbors. This workshop will explore practical, community‑driven strategies for removing barriers around food insecurity, grounded in the lived wisdom of the St. James Food Pantry and our partners. Participants will learn how to design food programs that move beyond charity toward empowerment, equity, and long‑term community flourishing.
