Across neighborhoods, churches, and community-based nonprofits, leaders are working toward reconciliation, justice, and flourishing, but many organizations need trusted coaches who can help them build the capacity to sustain that work for the long haul.
The Certified Nonprofit Development Specialist (CNDS) program equips Christian Community Development practitioners, ministry leaders, nonprofit professionals, and community advocates with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to strengthen congregations and organizations serving their communities.
The program begins October 7, 2026, prior to the National Conference in Richmond, VA, and will continue with virtual sessions in subsequent months.
You will receive in-person instruction and cohort-style coaching, along with 40+ hours of online, on-demand training. You’ll gain practical skills in the six core components of healthy nonprofit organizations and demonstrate a commitment to ethical leadership and professional excellence:

About Mindy Muller
Mindy Muller is a social entrepreneur, founder, and President/CEO of Community Development Professionals, LLC. Since 2003, Mindy has led CDP toward realizing its vision of communities where everyone can thrive. Communities that thrive have a strong nonprofit sector, affordable housing for everyone, community partnerships that work collaboratively to build strong community, and active and vibrant small businesses.
In addition to her role at CDP, Mindy has served as an adjunct instructor at Miami University in its Department of Justice and Community Studies and facilitates professional development in partnership with organizations that include GrantStation and Christian Leadership Alliance. Mindy and her husband Steve reside in Fairfield and have five children – Kyler, Tyler, Ryan, Rachael, and Drew.
