Get excited for the relaunch of CCDA’s Education Equity Affinity Network, a.k.a. #TransformED. This is a space for practitioners, educators, and advocates to unite around the pursuit of just and equitable education for all. As federal shifts in the Department of Education continue to impact our communities, this network provides a timely and much-needed space to share resources, amplify stories, and collaborate on strategies rooted in the CCD Philosophy.
During our time together, we’ll hear from and engage with Zakiya Jackson, the president of The Expectations Project. The Expectations Project mobilizes people of faith to demand excellent public schools for children who are Black, Brown, in poverty and otherwise marginalized. They train faith communities and faith leaders to understand policy and systems around children so that they can thrive. During our time together, Zakiya will focus on helping us see ourselves in the story of the faith-based movement for inclusive public education.
