Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:19 ESV
Behold is an awakening, a holy invitation to pause, to look, and to truly perceive what God is stirring in our communities. We gather in Richmond to witness the God who makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. We are called to open our eyes to the new thing that is already springing forth, even in the dry places where injustice and pain have long held sway.
In neighborhoods all across our country, we are in a challenging season. Everywhere we look, we can see the impact of historical injustices, and some days we aren’t sure if meaningful progress has been made. We see the suffering, the division, the fear, and we feel hurt, despair, and anger.
We work alongside our neighbors to create a world where community elders mentor and mobilize young leaders, where we learn from our history and look with prophetic imagination toward the transformation of our neighborhoods.
As we gather in Richmond, we celebrate, together, a brand-new day. We embrace new stories, new conversations, and new ministries led by a new generation of practitioners who are moving beyond silos toward deep, authentic collaboration. Join the movement as we step into this holy invitation to perceive what God is stirring in our communities. Behold, the wilderness is blooming, the rivers are rising, and the God of restoration and repair is making all things new.
