Description
Many congregations are involved in addressing or alleviating hunger in their communities and often find themselves wrapped up in the logistics and demands of distributing food, overlooking the issue of justice. This workshop is designed for congregations working in food insecurity spaces who desire to make a deeper impact with the community they serve. Using a story-based framework with interactive exercises, participants will come away with an understanding of the systemic nature of food insecurity and how faith communities can actively work to address those root causes. Participants will hear examples of congregations that are integrating justice and community-led approaches.
