Description
Nearly every school has a garden. Often started with good intentions, budget cuts and demanding school schedules leave them abandoned and overgrown. The benefits of school gardens, however, are profound, increasing both the emotional health and the educational outcomes for students. This workshop will explore ways to partner with schools to create thriving gardens that also help CCDA practitioners reach multiple goals. We will illustrate how church relationships with schools through supporting their school gardens create deep-rooted connections within the community that are a fertile seedbed for growing gospel-rooted friendships.
