Description

Track: Public Square

Presenter: Dr. Kimberlee Johnson & Rev. Dr. Chris Kimmenez

Rev. Dr. Kimberlee A. Johnson (K-lee) is an educator, activist, justice advocate, prophetic preacher, and leader. She serves on the faculty at Eastern University where she teaches Urban & Interdisciplinary Studies and is the Director of the Prison Education Program. She is the founder and leader of the Fellowship of Women Clergy. Her devotion to Christ and commitment to loving her neighbor have fueled decades of social justice involvement, particularly youth and criminal justice advocacy centering around bringing an end to mass incarceration.

Dr. Chris Kimmenez is National Director of Support Services for Healing Communities USA, a faith-based prison reentry initiative, and is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and member of the Faith & Spiritual Affairs Advisory Board of the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities. Chris holds a B.S. in Human Resources, a M.S. in Health Education, Psy.D in Psychology and is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree.
