Mass Incarceration’s Community Effects and Restorative Justice as the Solution — Giovanni Arias & Drew Willey
Attendees will hear about the true costs of incarceration for those in custody, their families and the community. This workshop shows interactive timelines, giving a clear explanation of what our marginalized brothers and sisters face from beginning to end of encounters with our justice system. Along the way, individual freedom stories will be shared. Finally, attendees will examine how restorative justice can be applied to change our system from punitive to wholeness for all. Learn from the only Christ-centered attempt in Texas to directly end mass incarceration, one heart and client at a time.
