Description
The workshop will teach attendees through forming an interactive model of a mock faith-based mental health support group. Using the Mental Health Grace Alliance workbook materials, it will focus on demonstrating the dynamics that create connections for all members to feel welcome. Participants will learn basic principles of need assessments and understanding cultural competency to create trauma-informed spaces. Together we will learn how to replicate this model in our contexts for embracing members in our own communities. Speaker: Lyndal Bedford
