Overview
Conference Coordinator reports directly to CCDA’s Director of Membership & Conference and is responsible for executing CCDA’s conference planning processes. To that end, the Conference Coordinator performs the following responsibilities.
Essential Functions
National Conference
- Manage scheduling of various planning meetings.
- Invoice sponsors and exhibitors.
- Track sponsor and exhibitor sales and fulfillment processes.
- Project management around conference planning.
- Manage timelines, coordinate event setup and breakdown, and address any logistical challenges for all rooms at the conference in coordination with the Director.
- Process documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Necessary Skills
- Proficiency with online communication programs and systems, including Google Suite.
- Ability to use Asana.
- Creative and strategic thinker with excellent judgment and the ability to work in a changing environment.
- Effective organizational skills, including accountability and evaluation.
- Detail-oriented and thrives on managing details.
Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills; interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
- Strong project management and administrative skills.
- Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, contractors, board members, association members, donors, advocacy and program partners, volunteers, and other supporters.
- Self-starter, able to work independently; organize and prioritize responsibilities; passion, integrity, positive attitude.
- Must possess strong human relations skills to communicate and work effectively within a culturally diverse work environment and community.
- Ability to clear a background check for work directly with children, youth, and families.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- Experience working with faith-based organizations.
- Extensive use of Asana and Google Sheets.
Travel Requirement
- Annual travel to the National Conference to assist CCDA team with conference administration.
- Other travel as indicated.
Location: Remote
- Ability to perform duties from a non-company location.
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment at the remote worksite.
- Internet speeds both up and down are sufficient for frequent video calls.
- Manage non-work-related events and activities to avoid disruptions or interference with work at the remote site.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a part-time 20-hour position offering:
- $25/hour.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This is largely a stationary role in a remote home office environment. The role routinely operates and constantly uses standard home office equipment such as computers, phones, and various software. Your work site must have adequate broadband internet access to allow remote work for regular video calls, hosting virtual meetings, streaming videos, etc.
This position frequently communicates online or via phone with others to coordinate departmental work. The exchange of detailed, accurate information in these situations is critical.
There is frequent movement when traveling and working at the annual conference. The role occasionally moves equipment weighing up to 20 pounds for various event needs.
