Lynette McIntosh-Madrigal
Flourishing Congregations Coordinator
Lynette McIntosh-Madrigal is a passionate evangelist, charismatic youth leader, and devoted community development activist. Rooted in California’s Central Valley and enriched by her cherished Mexican heritage from Michoacán, Mexico, Lynette is deeply guided by her love for Jesus. With a heart for youth work and community development, she channels this faith into empowering young minds and nurturing stronger communities. Lynette is a passionate advocate for holistic growth, believing in the transformative power of investing in individuals and neighborhoods for a brighter, more equitable, and resilient future.
Raised primarily in Orosi, California, a small migrant community that transplanted the life and culture of a typical Mexican pueblo, Lynette learned to embrace and love her Spanish language, strong family values, and diverse cultures. Since then, she has made it her goal to love all and love big, leading her to live a life that honors and advocates for those on the margins.
Lynette’s passion as an evangelist drew her into Youth for Christ ministry in Fresno County, where she has worked with Gen Z for over eight years. After receiving her B.A. in Psychology from Fresno State, she committed to a yearlong apprenticeship in the Pink House with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Fresno, which awakened her passion for social justice.
After serving with Youth for Christ, Lynette embarked on a one-year assignment with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in Guatemala. This placed her on the front lines of serving displaced peoples from across the world. Advocating for migrants is a passion that thrives within her. Lynette has delivered workshops and written on various topics related to immigration and Gen Z, including a recent workshop at the Hope for the Future BIPOC Conference sponsored by Mennonite Church USA.
In 2024, Lynette was awarded the Graduate of Distinction from Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary upon completing her M.A. in Community Leadership and Transformation. Today, Lynette begins work with the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) as a Networks Coordinator, where she combines her love for both Jesus and justice. She and her husband, Eric, are active members at Willow Avenue Mennonite Church, where Lynette is a member of the church council and leads a young adult small group.
People think of Lynette as highly sociable, engaging with people in a warm and personable way, as well as a gifted public speaker who articulates vision, trust, and commitment. Within a few moments of being with her, Lynette’s friends will likely experience her passion for life, for Christ, and for others when her feelings move her from light-hearted laughter to welling, heartswelling tears of compassion.
