The annual National Conference is the capstone of CCDA’s ministry. In other professional contexts, conferences are helpful. In the CCDA world they are crucial to survival. For small ministries, the problems faced are huge and the work often feels isolating. Opportunity to connect with like-minded people is invaluable and lets people know they are not alone. In addition, many ministries do not have the resources to fully train their workers. CCDA members generally have an annual budget of less than $500,000 with minimal training resources. There is a need to improve both staff and organizational capacity to better implement programs and services. The National Conference is designed to meet these needs so that these ministers, leaders, practitioners, and volunteers can more effectively proclaim Christ's Kingdom. It also provides a context to study and dialogue about the issues affecting communities and to collaborate on and envision breakthrough initiatives.

CCDA offers the most inexpensive conference of its kind. Attendees can pay as little as $124 per individual registration and $74 per student registration for a four-day conference. Since many of our members are small, grassroots organizations and churches, this low rate enables everyone who is doing God’s work in under-served communities to attend a life-changing conference. CCDA is able to offer this subsidized fee with the help of donors and sponsors that cover other conference expenses.
