Plenary Sessions

Morning and evening plenary sessions are sure to inspire and challenge you while providing plenty of fodder for discussion. Evening Plenary: Wednesday through Friday, 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

Workshops

Christian Community Development (CCD) leaders and practitioners teach workshops to share wisdom they’ve gained from their experiences working on the front lines of ministry. Presenters will teach a variety of topics providing opportunity for interactive learning. Thursday & Friday, 1:30pm – 4:30pm.

Go & See

In addition to the learning opportunities featured at the convention center, take an afternoon to explore Raleigh·Durham. Each full day of the conference offers a variety of Go & See experiences, providing conference participants with an opportunity to visit the neighborhoods and communities of our host cities—learning from local practitioners and partners and experiencing the history and unique qualities of the city. Thursday & Friday, 12:00pm – 5:30pm.

Conversations

Consider participating in one of the Conversations offered as a part of the afternoon schedule. These are facilitated dialogues between 20 people on significant issues at the forefront of our communities.

Action Tanks

Similar to the afternoon Conversations, this year we are introducing Action Tanks: gatherings of 20 experienced CCDA Practitioners and Partners bringing their experience and knowledge to bear on an important CCD issue with the charge to bring 2-3 action points to the association.

Pre-Conference

This year we will be offering a number of both Pre & Post Conference opportunities. CCDA’s Pre-Conference Institute Classes provide in-depth study of various CCD-related topics. Pre-Conference, we are also offering a Housing Symposium, a conference on Market Solutions for Community Transformation, and StoryTrack: An Intro to Video Storytelling. View all Pre-Conference opportunities.

Post-Conference

This year we will be offering a number of both Pre & Post Conference opportunities. Our Post-Conference opportunities include CCDA Focus Group and Partner Events, a Local Focus Plenary Session on Saturday night, and a Marriage Retreat, led by Leroy and Donna Barber. View all Post-Conference opportunities.

6:43

Show up for the Evening Plenary early (at 6:43 PM) for an inspiring artistic presentation. Each night we will feature local talent for a 20 minute pre-concert or dance performance.

Stage II

Stage II was introduced at the 2013 National Conference in an endeavor to fulfill our mission to inspire, train, and connect. This year, Stage II will feature live music and readings, with art scattered around the convention center. Check back soon for a schedule of Stage II performances.

Special Activities

The party doesn’t stop after the evening plenary. Finish each day by attending fun events such as a film screening, an Open Mic Night, and Salsa Dancing!
