Workshop Tracks
This years workshops will be organized primarily by track. The tracks below have been selected based on a variety of factors, namely the suggestions from the 2009 Post-Conference Survey. Tracks have been discussed and recommended by the local Host Team, as well as the Board of Directors Conference Committee, in conjunction with the National Office.

Other Themes
There are other themes that have been raised as priorities, but have not been identified as tracks for 2010. We will endeavor to create a final workshop schedule that represents these themes across tracks. Please help us in identifying which workshops address these themes by selecting all that apply to your workshop during the proposal process.
Please note: The Host Team has identified three particular groups that are at risk of being marginalized within the CCDA movement: Women, Spanish speakers, and those doing CCD in suburbs, small towns, and rural settings are too often left out in terms of perspectives represented. We seek to have these themes widely represented in this year’s workshops and we encourage all workshop presenters to consider how these topics could be referenced, perspectives sought, etc. At the same time, we do not expect that these themes will apply to all workshops.
- Advocacy
- Arts
- Environment
- Healthcare
- Rural & Small Town
- Spanish Speakers (workshops that apply specifically to a Latino context, as well as workshops that are taught in Spanish)
- Suburbanization of Poverty
- Theology
- Technology
- Women’s Perspectives (consider a variety of women’s perspectives: women in leadership, wives, mothers, single women, older women, younger women, etc.)
In addition to the themes above and as an expression of the festivities surrounding the 20th anniversary of CCDA, we seek proposals exploring and placing a special emphasis on the foundation of Christian Community Development: Dr. Perkins’ “3 R’s”.
- Reconciliation
- Redistribution
- Relocation
