The National Student Leadership Intensive (NSLI) is a conference within the CCDA National Conference designed specifically for student leaders. This Intensive promises to engage, equip and encourage high school and college students to have a deeper understanding of Christian Community Development and leave ready to take action!

The completely revamped 2014 NSLI includes the following:

  • Dynamic Bible Studies
  • NSLI-specific workshops
  • Participation with your youth leader in National Conference workshops
  • College visits
  • Ministry- and business-site visits in Raleigh and Durham
  • National Conference plenary sessions (worship and teaching)
  • Fun late-night activities


Who Should Attend?

CCDA is looking for student leaders who demonstrate proven leadership abilities, a spirit of creativity, and a passion for helping their community. Students must also be…

  • Aged 15-20 years old
  • Committed followers of Christ
  • Interested in Christian Community Development and issues of social justice

Registration includes both lunch and dinner on Thursday and Friday.

Lodging & Location

The NSLI will begin and end at the National Conference host hotel:

Raleigh Convention Center
500 S Salisbury St
Raleigh, NC 27601

All activities will occur or originate at the convention center. Buses for the college tours and other activities will depart from and return to the convention center.

Unlike previous years, there is NO overnight lock-in at the 2014 NSLI.

11:30am Duke tour and campus lunch (Durham)
1:15pm Youth workshop No. 1: Christ and Culture, taught by Daniel White Hodge of North Park University (Durham, Blacknall Presbyterian Church)
3:00pm Youth workshop No. 2: Future Education, taught by Michael Evans of Eastern University (Durham, Blacknall Presbyterian Church)
4:30pm Dinner (Durham)
7:00pm Main plenary session
9:30pm Late-night activity

Friday, 9/26

8:30am Depart from Raleigh Convention Center
9:00am NC State walking and informational tour
11:30am Lunch (Young Life House, 2517 Clark Avenue, Raleigh, NC)
1:30pm National Conference workshop No. 1 (attend with leader/parent)
3:15pm National Conference workshop No. 2 (attend with leader/parent)
4:45pm Debrief and closing dinner for NSLI
7:00pm Main plenary session
9:30pm Closing event for NSLI: Open Mic Night and Hip Hop Concert, hosted by DJ PDogg
