Most people come to New Orleans and are captivated by its architecture, food, and music but never quite understand how it all came to be. This tour will journey through parts of the city that helps explain the “who, what, and why” of New Orleans.

This tour will journey through parts of the city that helps explain the “who, what, and why” of New Orleans.

New Orleans, a gumbo of culture, history, religion and ethnicity. The tour will include spending an hour in the historic French Market where everyone can purchase lunch. Evelyn Turner, a local CCDA member and experienced NOLA tour guide will be the guide for the tour.

Schedule:
12:00pm Bus departs Hyatt Regency Hotel from Main Floor Lobby Departure Tunnel
Lunch For purchase in the French Market
5:30pm Arrive at Hyatt Regency Hotel

Pre-registration for the Historical Tour is required. Purchase a ticket for the Historical Tour here. The $5 fee covers transportation costs; participants will have an opportunity to purchase lunch in the French Market. All ages are welcome at this site; attendance is limited to 40. Parts of this event will be held outdoors and will include some walking. Please wear appropriate footwear and come dressed for the weather, rain or shine.
