2017 CCDA National Conference Volunteers

Volunteers are vital to the success of the National Conference! Volunteers serve in a variety of areas, including those listed below. Volunteers are expected to serve at least 12 hours throughout the course of the conference week. Volunteers, who are first time members, will receive will receive complimentary membership through conference.

Priority will be given to volunteers who possess needed skills for specific areas of service:

Camera Operators will join the production team and should have experience with professional video camera operation.
Childcare needs volunteers with experience working with kids. All childcare volunteers will require a background check.
Greeters are needed to help welcome and guide attendees as they arrive and move to various activities throughout the conference.
Info Table volunteers should have local Detroit knowledge and be available to help answer conference schedule questions.
Prayer volunteers will join our local host team in facilitating time of prayer and guided prayer throughout the conference.
Production team will help with the load-in and load-out of all production gear. This team will be physically demanding and should be joined by individuals who can help lift and carry heavy staging and other gear.
Registration volunteers should be welcoming, work calmly under pressure, and have the ability to work rapidly and efficiently. Preference will be given to those who have served in this role before.
Transportation volunteers will join a local team in helping transport staff, speakers and attendees.
Translators are needed who are fluent in Spanish, ASL and various other languages.
Ushers will help with a variety of tasks inside of the main ballroom –– pamphlet drops, room sets and helping guide attendees.
Workshop volunteers should be comfortable making presenter introductions, are tech savvy and able to help with workshop set-up.
