Call for Theological Journal Proposals

The Christian Community Development Association’s Theological Committee is pleased to announce its third annual Theological Journal, which is scheduled for release at the 2014 National Conference in Raleigh-Durham.

“We now call for paper proposals. We encourage all pastors, practitioners, and scholars with interest and experience in CCD … to submit a one-page paper abstract.”

The purpose of the journal is to unite community developers, ministries, and scholars through theological reflection on issues relevant to Christian community development, focusing specifically on the theme of the annual conference. The theme of the 2014 conference is Flourish, and the theme text is Jeremiah 29.

We now call for paper proposals. We encourage all pastors, practitioners, and scholars with interest and experience in Christian community development and the conference theme to submit a one-page paper abstract. Topics relating to flourishing in community development, biblical exegesis of Jeremiah 29, and engaging various approaches to flourishing are particularly encouraged. Abstracts should be emailed to Bethany Dudley Harris at bethany@ccda.org by Thursday, April 17, and participants will be informed about the status of their proposals by Thursday, April 24. The deadline for completed papers, which should be six to 12 pages in length, is Friday, May 9.
